My job as the Intervention Specialist at WAIS is to make sure each student receives adequate help and resources to achieve success. I run an after school program for high school students (BRIDGE) who are struggling academically. I also visit various classrooms throughout the day to provide extra support where it is needed.
BRIDGE is an extended school day program Monday through Thursday afternoons, where students attend tutorials with their classroom teachers or stay with me and complete homework assignments or get other help they may need. Students who are assigned BRIDGE will be required to attend every Monday through Thursday from 3:10 - 4:15. They may catch the late bus home or be picked up by a parent at that time.
