SPRING SEMESTER 2009

Class Purpose: 

The purpose of this class is to give my students a clear understanding of the theatre and the major components of acting. We will focus on improvisation, monologues, characterization, relaxation, the stage, warm-up techniques, audience etiquette and how to be a successful performer onstage and off.

Class Expectations: 

Students are expected to participate in class on a daily basis.  During the fall semester, students will be working on improvisation, monologues and scenes (duets), which all will be major grades.  The intermediate drama students will be focusing on studying classic plays, fine tuning their performance skills, as well as the projects listed above.  There will be a final exam in December which will be announced later in the semester.
