WSLC/SWLC Girls Lacrosse

The WSLC girls lacrosse program is a club team sport for middle school and high school. We are always looking for any girls interested in playing lacrosse, which is a fun and fast paced sport. You don’t need any experience to begin!

While we are a club sport, the program is treated as much like a school team as possible. Varsity lacrosse players get all the perks that girls of other sports get (can qualify for letter jackets). No district or school funds are used in the support of our program. We must raise all our funds to cover our club program expenses.

The main difference between lacrosse and other school sports is that we do not fall under the UIL or athletic departments, so we can do more things in the off season (and let players from other schools play with us).  Regular season is in the spring. We have off-season activities in the fall in the form of 1 or 2 practice days a week, plus a tournament or two. We do require our girls to abide by the No Pass No Play rule of UIL sports.

The fall is used to learn ball skills and the rules of the game. The official playing season is in the spring.

We want you to be committed to lacrosse if you find you like it and want to play, and please know that there ARE opportunities to play lacrosse beyond high school, and college coaches are beginning to tap into Texas for recruiting good lacrosse players should that be a path one wants to pursue.
