Odyssey of the Mind Started in Westchester Academy for International Studies 5 years ago, Coached by Lynn and Chris McMullin. The original 2002-2003 team, had 5 team members, Matthew McMullin, Danny Souraphath, Michael Chiles, David Glover, and Allen Jhele.
Since that Team westchester has been host to the Texas State Competition in 2005, and will be host again in 2007.
Team members have come and gone, but Matthew McMullin, Michael Chiles, and David Glover, have been in the team since its formation. Past members to the McMullin teams have been- Nick Wike, Colin Gray, Stefania Gorski, Cassie Hurst, Jake Brunner, and Matthew Zelinsky.
In 2005 The McMullin Team, consisting of Matthew McMullin, Danny Souraphath, Michael Chiles, David Glover, Nicholas Wike, Jake Brunner, and Matthew Zelinsky, Obtained 2nd Place in the State of Texas and managed to qualify to the 2005 World Competition in Boulder, Colorado. In Colorado they managed to place 6th for their division in spontaneous.
In 2005 Alberto Halos, a mathematics teacher at Westchester, Began to coach Odyssey of the Mind. In 2006 he coached 2 teams, both of which advanced to the State Competition.
In 2006 Kenneth Anisiobi, a 7th grade Math teacher, also coached a team. That team also qualified to enter State Competition.

Our Tee-Structure (Div. III) team has been invited to compete in EuroFest 2008, which this year will be located in Hungary! The team of 6 boys, and 1 brave girl, will travel during April to Hungary to participate and compete against international teams! Full Story...
