EXCELLENT and FREE
summer culinary camps sponsored by Houston Community College and the
University of Houston!
Candidates should
be mature individuals
with a great interest in the culinary arts.
Week One:
Dates: June 9-11.
Location:
University of Houston Conrad Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant
Mgmt.
Students stay
overnight on campus at the University of Houston and participate in
the Culinary Camp activities under the direction of the University
of Houston faculty during the day.
SBISD Culinary
Arts instructors, Erin Land and Jennifer Cardenas, from the Guthrie
Center will chaperone.
Transportation:
Bus leaves the Guthrie Center at 8:00AM Tuesday, June 9, and returns
at 6:00 pm on Thursday, June 11.
Week Two:
Dates: June
16-June 18
Location: Houston
Community College Main Street Campus
Students make
daily trips to HCC Main Street Campus for Culinary Arts activities
under the direction of Chef Eddie Van Damme.

will culminate in a cooking competition (similar to Iron Chef) that
will be held on the last day, and filmed by a professional camera
crew.
